Human Male Combat Medic
A Combat Medic does most of his work in muddy pools, smoking craters or the cover of damp undergrowth. Something all these locations have in common: there are definitely no beds. So what then, does a combat medic need with a bedside manner?
It’s not clear who gave Corian this sage piece of advice some time in his past, but it certainly seems he took it to heart.
To describe him as brusque would be a kindness. In fact, the blunt way to put it would be to suggest that Corian just plain doesn’t like people, least of all his patients.
To think this would be understandable, and also, perfectly wrong. Underneath the prickly interior is… well, perhaps not the warm fuzzy heart of a caregiver, but a consummate professional.
You see, Corian is a mass of contradictions. Part of him preferred to be a loner. He enjoyed his days of wandering the wilds in solo mode, risking life and limb and living by his wits. But that’s a dangerous game, and he has the scars to prove it.
The truth is, being a necessary member of Nix’s crew suits him well. What could be nobler than saving the lives of his friends and comrades?
But the inescapable fact remains that he doesn’t take orders well, isn’t a team player, and is just as likely to kill his patients with an acerbic manner as he is to save them with his considerable skill.
